This specially designed drill guard gives full protection from quill to drill point by the smooth telescopic action of the guard, which collapses as the drill penetrates the workpiece, returning to the extended position when the spindle is raised. This unit is made from strong, injection molded, high impact polycarbonate which offers clear and safe vision through body and visor. In the operating position the guard is securely locked in the closed position by a spring-loaded plunger pin assembly. When released, the guard hinges up, allowing instant access for cutting tool and/or chuck change.
